AGM - 14th June 2016

The Club is holding its AGM on Tuesday 14th June at 7.30pm at Oaklands. This is your opportunity to support and shape the club for the following year. We are always looking for volunteers and fresh faces with new ideas to help keep the club running smoothly, but you will not be pressured into taking on any jobs. If you are interested in any roles, there is a list on the club notice board. You can also speak to the person currently in the role if you want to know what it entails, and there is also the option to shadow a role.

Looking forward to seeing you there

Matt Rogers

24 hour Sponsored Swimathon in aid of Forest Pulse on Sat 26 - Sun 27 March 2016

Total distance achieved: 17902 lengths or 447550 metres or 279.71 miles.

WELL DONE TO ALL SWIMMERS AND SUPPORTERS - FANTASTIC EFFORT.

A brilliant event and amazing results with 73 swimmers taking part. Thanks to everyone involved - far too many to list individually: from swimmers who swam for 24 hours: did the most lengths in shortest time; everyone who helped organise it; lifeguards who gave up their time for free; parents who counted for hours - when swimmers stayed a lot longer than planned; younger swimmers (and many "older swimmers too) whose endurance amazed us all; cake bakers who sustained us; leisure centre staff who swam; families who all got involved; Stage 3 swimmers who once swam kept coming back and back; parent who dived in fully clothed to help raise money; coaches who got in and swam .......................

Thank you, thank you, thank you
