4 Seasons at GL1

An excited team of swimmers from Cinderford Swimming Club converged on GL1 in Gloucester for the latest 4 Seasons gala, putting in a spirited performance they finished in 3rd place - only 12 points behind eventual winners Hereford.

A novice 9 years and under girls team of Emma Clarke and Hannah Desmond (9), Zea Levy (6) and Hannah Kibble (7) took to the water with confidence showing promise in both their team and individual swims.  For the 9 year old boys Jamie Morris came first in the backstroke in the new time, Evan Jones won the breaststroke with a PB and also achieved a PB in the butterfly.  Another novice competitor Alex Cleal swam in the relays.

For the 10 year olds: Nya Levy won the fly with Charlotte Clarkson, Morgan Jones and Becky Embling improved their times in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke respectively.  Andrew Cole came first in the freestyle and achieved PB’s in freestyle and backstroke.  Matt Fleming swam in the relay races.

11 year old Renee Pritchard won the breaststroke race with Chloe Phillips, Emily Wilson and Maddie Worgan improving their freestyle, backstroke and butterfly times respectively.  Jamie Leighton and Luke Mills improved their freestyle and breaststroke and Sam Jenkins came first in the backstroke and gained a PB in the butterfly.  Luke and Sam were joined by 10 year olds Jamie Leighton and Andrew Cole to win the 11 year freestyle relay.

Chloe Howard (12) achieved a PB in her backstroke, Morgan Peck and Mitch Savage won their butterfly and backstroke races and they were joined by Chris Owston and Luke Nash winning both the relays.  In the individual races Chris, Luke Nash and Mitch all   achieved PB’s.  Rebecca Howard, Jess Bayliss and Casey Davis competed in the 12 year category.
