Gloucester City Level 2 Open Meet - May 2011

6 Cinderford swimmers took part in the Gloucester Level 2 Open Meet with Nia Westlake the only girl for the Club competing and bringing home 3 gold medals for the 200m freestyle, 200 butterfly and 400m IM – all with personal best times.  She also achieved 5 silver medals for the 100m butterfly, 100m and 400m freestyle, 200m backstroke and 200m IM. 

Mitch Savage beat off the opposition to win 2 gold medals for the 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke, the latter with an improved time; he achieved a silver medal in the 100m backstroke with a 2 sec PB and a bronze medal in the 100m freestyle.  Morgan Peck won silver in the 50m backstroke with a personal best time before achieving another best time in the 50m freestyle.  Morgan also came 2nd in the 50m butterfly but was just outside the qualifying time.  Billy Harris achieved a PB in the 50m freestyle with a time of 27.09 sec and came 3rd in the 200m backstroke just outside the qualifying time.  Todd Montague and Josh Peck both improved on their 100m freestyle times.
