Cardiff Bay 50m Sprint Meet - July 2010 Long Course

For a confusing open meet the Cardiff Bay Sprint Meet must be listed near the top with an AA and B Grade gala running simultaneously. Cinderford sent a squad comprising of 7 swimmers aged 10, 7 aged 11 and 13 older swimmers.
Although including a large group of young swimmers there were no nerves showing as they took their places on the starting blocks and also the podium with excellent results achieving 69 medals including 17 gold, 4 silver and 18 bronze, as well as Nia Westlake, Dean Embling and Billy Harris collecting speeding tickets for going too fast! These 3 swimmers were joined by Ashleigh Embling, Jason Games, Sam Jenkins, Josh Peck, Kurtis Nash and Casey Davis in securing places in the final for the overall gala achieving excellent places in the 200m IM.
As well as the swimmers in the finals, top 3 places in the individual races in the AA grade gala were also achieved by Nya Levy, Morgan Peck, Andrew Cole, Nick Watkins and George Fear. Swimmers achieving top 3 medals in the B grade gala were Charlotte Clarkston, Chloe Philips, Zelig Ho, Chris Owston and Misha Cameron.
